KASHMIR GOLF CLUB
The Kashmir Golf Club, with its splendid location along the Srinagar city’s main avenue M A Road, is the oldest Golf course of Kashmir valley built in 1887 by the British. This golf course, flanked by mighty Chinar and poplar trees on all sides, is equipped with 18 hole and par of 70. Spread over 52 acres of verdant land, it sits like a serene oasis in the hustle of the city having been venue for numerous tournaments in its entire history. Being in the heart of Srinagar city and with luxury hotels in its vicinity, it has been a favourite golfing spot for the high end tourists and the golfers from around the world. It is the first Golf Club at Srinagar with well laid out bunkers and hazards, interspersed between rows of Chinars and pine trees having a professional 18-hole course. Ever during a rest amid the soothing ambience of the Golf Course, one can have splendid views of Suleiman Hills and Shankaracharya Temple, located just a few hundred yards from here. It has an advantage over other golf courses in the country by offering an exclusive opportunity for golf enthusiasts to play through an extended summer, from April to November. Temperate climate of the place allows the golfer to play longer hours without getting tired.
Golfing was introduced in Kashmir in the 19th century by British, who used to spend summers in the valley, sparing themselves of the scorching temperatures in the country’s plains. Seeing the potential of golf in promoting tourism, the state government is on path of creating world class infrastructure and facilities in this sector. ROYAL SPRINGS GOLF COURSE

Located in the foothills of Zabarwan mountains and flanked by glorious Dal Lake, this golf course is spread over an area of 300 acres boasting of wonderful landscape, thus enthralling the players of international repute. Designed by world famous golf architect, Robert Trent Jones II, who has designed more than 500 golf courses all over the world, Royal Springs golf Course is equipped with 18 hole and par 72 golf offering a challenge to all level of players who delightfully compete in the exotic environs.
The Royal Springs Golf Course is regarded as one of the most picturesque golf courses in Asia, commissioned in 2001. It has modern amenities like motorised golf carts etc and for its quality facilities is considered as No.1 golf course of India by Golf Digest. Clubs are available for hire and buggies are mandatory as at this altitude it is not advisable to walk the course unless you have been playing high altitude courses. It is open to non-members also and hosts golf tournaments at regular intervals. The first ever women's golf tournament conducted in the Kashmir Valley was arranged here in July 2012, which attracted more than 50 woman golfers across India.
The golf course harbors a rare groove of cork oaks, planted by last Dorga ruler, Maharaja Hari Singh before 1947. The plants were imported from Europe. These and other trees escaped felling at the time of construction of the golf course. The course is called the Royal Springs because there are four water springs in the vicinity. Mughal Emperor Jehangir built an exquisite walled garden – the Chashma Shahi which overlooks the golf course and contains four of the royal springs. So, Royal Springs Golf course is calling golf enthusiasts from all over the globe to enjoy golfing at one of the most exquisite courses in the world!

The Pahalgam Golf Course will take your breath away with its sheer beauty and design. Pahalgam Golf Course is approximately 100 km from Srinagar and situated at an altitude of 2150 mtrs (approx). The breathtaking surroundings add to the exhilaration and get your adrenaline pumping. The course will test yours skills, strategy and patience. The greens are fast and true with bent grass. With the clean. pure and revitalised air of Pahalgam is the closest that you will get to attaining nirvana while playing golf. Golf carts are available at the course.
